Placing the upgrade order
In this tutorial, you will learn how to place an order for an upgrade for existing hosting from your Hostico client account.
Introduction
In this tutorial, we will go through the steps necessary to place an upgrade order for a hosting service.
Requirements
- Hostico client account
- An active hosting
Steps
- After logging into the Hostico client account, go to the Services section.
- The opened window will display all types of services owned. Click will be made on the service for which the upgrade order is desired
On the right side, a series of actions will be displayed. We access the Upgrade: option.
On the displayed page are all the upgrade options, along with the pricing plans based on the service's due date.
Click on the configuration for which you want to upgrade/downgrade.
- After selecting the new configuration type, click on UPGRADE.
- The last step before completing the order is checking the cost of the upgrade and choosing the payment method. After ensuring that the chosen package is the desired one, the process will be finalized by accessing UPGRADE.
Note
- The update cost is calculated based on the remaining unused days of the current package and charging the new package for the same period. Thus, you only pay the difference for the additional service chosen for the remaining active period.
- In the case of services transitioning from a hosting plan without a dedicated IP to one with an IP (e.g., moving from Start to Business), the IP allocation period will be established by mutual agreement, yet the recommendation is to carry out this process during the night to avoid any potential operational fluctuations that may accompany the process.
- In the case of migration from a Start or Business package to a Reseller/VPS package, the migration period will be mutually agreed upon, but it is recommended to be carried out during the night as the activity flow is lower at night.
- For downgrade orders, it is recommended to contact online support or send a notification to office@hostico.com, as a series of factors need to be analyzed before the transition is made.
