Redirecting the site from HTTP to the secure HTTPS version from the Plesk administration panel.
In this tutorial, we will present the necessary steps to implement a 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS from the Plesk control panel.

Introduction
- Redirecting the site to the HTTPS version brings multiple benefits, both from an SEO perspective and security.

- For each domain hosted on the Plesk panel (which has the VPS's custom nameservers set), a free SSL certificate will be generated.
Requirements
- Access to the Plesk administration panel, username, and password.
- A valid SSL certificate, installed on the domain.
Steps
- To configure the redirect, we will click on the menu on the left side of the Websites and Domains panel, after which we will go to Hosting Settings.
- In the Security section, check Permanent 301 redirect, safe for SEO, from HTTP to HTTPS.
- The new preferences are saved by clicking Apply and then on the OK button.
- From this point, all traffic on the site will be redirected to the secure HTTPS version
- In addition to the settings above, it may also be necessary to configure the application/site to properly use HTTPS. These settings can generally be made from the site’s administration panel, with the help of a plugin and/or manually, by editing files and/or the database.
