Application of promotional coupons
In this tutorial, we will illustrate the steps that must be followed to apply discount coupons to the order placed or to the proforma from the account.
Introduction
Promotional coupons offered by Hostico allow for discounts to be applied within various ongoing campaigns. They can be used both for new orders, directly from the shopping cart, as well as for proforma invoices already issued for existing services, during the renewal process.
Next, we will detail the two methods by which you can use a promotional coupon on the Hostico platform.

Requirements
• To hold an active customer account on the Hostico platform (mandatory for using coupons on proforma invoices).
• You must have at least one valid promotional coupon issued as part of Hostico's campaigns.
• In the case of using coupons on proforma invoices, they must be unpaid and not already processed.
I. Applying promotional coupons in the shopping cart
Steps
After logging into the Hostico client account, go to the Hosting -> Web Hosting section.
Note: If you are a new customer and do not yet have a Hostico client account, one will be created automatically at the time of order completion, so prior authentication is optional.
The desired hosting package is selected, then the Order button is pressed. The selected service will be automatically added to the Cart.
In the newly opened page, enter the domain name and the desired extension.
Enter the promotional coupon code in the dedicated field, press Apply, then Order to complete the purchase.
II. Application of promotional coupons on proforma invoices
Steps
Access your Hostico client account and navigate to the Financial section. Open the pro forma invoice to which you want to apply the coupon.
On the invoice page, click the Promotions button.
A pop-up window will open at the top of the page, where you will enter the coupon code. After completing, press the Apply button.
If the coupon is valid and the application was successful, a confirmation message will appear. After you press the Close button, the page will be automatically refreshed, and the discount will be visible in the summary of the pro forma invoice.
Note
- Before applying a coupon, make sure that all specific conditions for its use are met.
- In promotional campaigns (Startup, Students, Romanian Hosting), the simultaneous use of a discount coupon is not allowed.
- Two discount codes cannot be applied to the same pro forma invoice.
- If the application conditions are not met, the corresponding discount will be automatically removed from the invoice.
- Promo codes cannot be applied retroactively. Once an order has been paid without using a promotional code, the discount cannot be granted later.
- The products or services offered for free along with the hosting package are not affected by the application of coupons.
- Some coupons require the purchase of the package for a minimum period (3, 6, 12, 24, or 36 months) or may only be valid in combination with specific actions (e.g. upgrade order). Failure to comply with these conditions will prevent the discount from being applied.
- Promotional coupons cannot be applied to proforma invoices that include services such as support hours or credit additions to the account. In such cases, the discount will be calculated only for the eligible service on the invoice.
- After applying a coupon, pro forma invoices can no longer be merged or divided.
