Manual configuration of the email account in Thunderbird

Introduction
- In this tutorial we will show you how to manually configure your email account in Thunderbird.
Requirements
- The email address and its password.
- Email client Thunderbird installed.
- Email server settings (IMAP, POP3, and SMTP).
Steps
- Open the Thunderbird application, click on Tools, then on Account Settings. At the bottom of the window, select Account Actions and click on Add Mail Account.
- Fill in the fields with the following information:
- Name: The name that will appear as the sender.
- Email address: The full email address.
- Password: The email account password.
- To manually configure the email account, click on Manual config.
- We recommend setting up your email account using the IMAP protocol.
- Fill in the fields with the following settings:
- Username: Full email address (e.g. florin.petran@hostico.com).
- Password: The email account password.
- Incoming server: hostico.ro.
- IMAP Port: 993 or POP3 Port: 995.
- Outgoing server: hostico.ro.
- SMTP Port: 465.
- After filling in the details, click on Done to complete the email account setup.
